“Cycling and running are my core fitness disciplines. Being able to cycle or run faster consists of cardiovascular and strength training. The former is rather trivial and can be achieved via increasing volume and intensity. The latter is much less binary and requires an expert to provide guidance and coaching that is bespoke to my physiology. I’m fortunate enough to have Nicol to fill the gap. With her specialization in core strength and plethora of knowledge about muscle activations and proper forms, I was able to make huge gains in the gym whilst avoiding injuries. These gains translate directly to muscular adaptations and on the bike performance. Over one season of strength training, I was able to see a 15% increase in my power output on the bike, and was hitting new PRs on Strava that were previously unattainable. Worked with Isha (10 years old) to improve overall strength for sports (swimming, volleyball, skiing). Worked on stability and strength of posterior chain, core, glutes and arms which has helped tremendously in her swim times and she feels much stronger when she skiis!
